The Infamous "Funk Hut" Parties

Gramma's Infamous "Funk Hut" Parties

Gramma Funk, The Funk Hostess Wit Da Mostess Infamous Tuesday Night "Funk Hut" Parties began in 1991 at the Big City Diner in Manhattan. Signed and unsigned artists now had a place to call home where they could display their talents, network with one another and chow down at Gramma Funk's Kitchen.

In 1995 we moved our Tuesday Night "Funk Hut" Parties to Club Esso where we would put a staple in the Hip-Hop movement along with my career as a self taught photographer, where I was able to display my photo collage boards every Tuesday.

April of 1997 would be the last time we would have a Tuesday Night "Funk Hut" Party, because Gramma Funk and me were venturing off to live in the United Kingdom in London, but the "Funk Hut" Lives on forever!

In 2000 Gramma Funk would record her first Gold Single the now infamous dance hit "I See You Baby Shaking Dat Ass" with London DJ's Groove Armada, where she was discovered in Ibiza, Spain. Congratulations to my Twin Sissy!
